Blueprint

Thanks to fan-generated start-up capital via Kickstarter.com, artist-run venue and gallery The Shred Shed has re-opened its doors as of Oct. 19. The new downtown 200-person-capacity establishment has seen local metal and hard-rock bands grace the stage, like Gaza, Cicadas, Bird Eater and more. And now comes The Shred Shed’s first national headliner, Blueprint. A quintessential Midwest rapper and a freestylist at heart, Blueprint launched his career with Soul Position, a RJD2 collaboration, on 8 Million Stories (2003), a polished studio album—something that naysayers said he couldn’t do. He’s touring in support of Deleted Scenes, an effort that shows off his rap skills and has him dabbling in dubstep and singing some R&B. Mad Dukez, Fresh Kils, Dopethought and Atheist share the stage.
