Levi Rounds is moving to Los Angeles, like so many characters in song lyrics. Remember we noted Rounds’ “final show” two months ago? Well, this time it’s for real, as economic forces compel him to put on one last fundraising performance before pulling up stakes to ply his comedic wares someplace that might be more conducive to chuckles. Local comics will get things going, with Dean Weber hosting and Arthur Carter as opener.
May the move provide him with loads of new material—everything from his new locale to the moving process (which is always a source of anecdotes full of trauma) and recalling his life in the Beehive State for those who might not be familiar with its sometimes-peculiar proprieties. (Brian Staker)
