The Utah County four-piece has moved upward from a steady diet of house shows around the country to joining Sera Cahoone and The Parson Red Heads on tour this fall. This Velour show marks Desert Noises’ return home for a very brief respite before hitting the road again the following day—they currently tour more than any other Utah-based band. And all those road miles have paid off: They’ve not only received attention from a steadily growing national concert audience, but also MTV Hive, which, on Oct. 24, premiered a new tune, “I Won’t See You.” The breakup ballad wrapped in a sonic package that is Band of Horses meets Fleet Foxes meets Tom Petty is a sure sign of good things to come from the band in 2013. Seve vs. Evan and Chance Lewis & Apt round out a genre-busting Utah County evening of music.
