Twenty years ago, to the day, a 10-piece band revived a brand of “rock-funk-disco-punk” on a local stage for the first time ... and dance floors in Salt Lake City wouldn’t be the same as long as the drippage came out of the disco faucet. The Disco Drippers, fully decked out with numerous guitars and blaring horns, specialize in renditions of classic hip-thrusters like “Dancing Queen,” “Brick House,” “Rapper’s Delight” and “I Will Survive.” Wherever they played, it was hot and sweaty, and if you weren’t on the dance floor, you probably weren’t there. For this 20-year anniversary show, the group is bringing former members to celebrate at this disco-riffic celebration.
