Seated in a chair alongside a piano accompanist in concert, Leon Redbone is wont to cajole the crowd to sing along to his renditions of old-timey blues, jazz and Tin Pan Alley standards. His guitar plucking isn’t mesmerizing anymore, but his banter is charming. Wearing his signature Panama hat and sunglasses, Redbone is the quirky old man you hope to become one day, singing songs like “Polly Wolly Doodle” and “Shine On Harvest Moon” as much for your own amusement as for others’.
