Cal Varsity rower, Jill Costello, was the prime model of a healthy person. After having lead her rowing team to a second place title in the NCAAs, Jill, along with her friends and family members, were most likely surprised to find out that she had been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. After 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 8 rounds of radiation, Jill lost her long battle with cancer in 2010. However, Jill’s legacy still exists and the Bonnie J. Adarrio Lung Cancer Foundation has helped to keep the memory of Jill in the hearts and minds of others.
Help the Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation to eradicate lung cancer, by jogging for Jill. The Jog for Jill 5k will be held at the University of Utah’s campus and will start at President's Circle. All proceedings will go to rising the awareness of lung cancer.
