The trend of becoming a couch potato spreads like a contagious disease throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Couch potato life has helped create the ever-growing problem of childhood obesity.

In hopes of stopping the trend of obesity, United Way of Salt Lake and the City of South Salt Lake have partnered to bring Salt Lake citizens the Healthy Kids Fun Run. The Healthy Kids Fun Run tempts children to turn off their televisions, get off the couch and participate in a series of fun exercises. Activities at the Fun Run include: wall climbing, jump roping, chalk drawing, etc.
