In 2012, Jack White attempted the most metaphors in a single concert, and the Flaming Lips sought to play the most concerts in one day—with eight shows in the South. And now, after nearly three decades of music making, The Melvins—in their “lite” formation with Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and the addition of Trevor Dunn on stand-up bass—are looking to play 51 shows in 51 days, one in every state, including Washington, D.C. Aside from the new world record, Melvins Lite are touring in support of Freak Puke.
