This New York City dream-pop/shoe-gaze duo snatched their name from a mythical South American pickpocket academy, which is allegorical, in a sense. Half-Costa Rican/half-Bolivian singer Alejandra Deheza's lyrics are mythical, abstract and spiritual. And on the band's 2012 release, Ghostory, the subject matter is what she pockets. “For me, ghosts are what I call those people and situations that you carry with you everywhere,” she told Consequence of Sound. “They're these entities that are whispering to you constantly and reminding you of things.” Support provided by Beachmen.
