Hank III

“God only knows what getting stung in the balls by a swarm of hornets feels like. But it probably sounds like a Shelton Hank Williams III concert,” wrote Josh Dulaney in a concert review--later described as “cum-draining”--for OC Weekly recently. Hank III, the growling, tattooed son/grandson of legends, plays a nearly three-hour show, with an extended alt-country first set and a Satan-blessed punk/metal second set. It's an “experience,” to say the least, whether swinging elbows in the mosh pit or hanging on the fringes puncturing the air with fistfuls of PBR to the guttural lyrics.
