The Utah Undie Run organizers want to make this year’s event count in several ways. Aside from being an event of self-expression in oft-stuffy Utah, all participants are asked to donate old clothing to the homeless as a way to “give the clothing off your back.”
The pre-party will kick off at 4:30 p.m., followed by stretches before the big run kicks off at 6 p.m. The run itself will be a 5K up State Street until you reach the Capitol, where the Guinness World Record official count will take place, with all runners congregated together for five minutes. After that, there will be a social event at 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Main Library complete with entertainment, followed by an afterparty kicking off at 9 p.m. So ... who likes short shorts?
