King Tuff, Audacity

I don’t normally pay much mind when a producer sends out a self-congratulatory quote about an album they worked on. But I love what Bobby Harlow (The Go, Conspiracy of Owls) says of King Tuff’s self-titled sophomore album and Sub Pop debut: “King Tuff should not be inspected or even listened to with critical ears. Cut your ears off. Rock & roll is meant to be blasted into your cells, penetrated and absorbed. It’s a visceral experience.” Audacity opens the show.
