Dumpstaphunk

I first caught Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk at the now-defunct Palladium (located near the interstate onramp in Marmalade), and although it was a terrible venue and a low turnout, Neville et al. brought the funk. Since then, he’s graced The State Room stage and garnered a decent following locally. It’s hard to say the word’s out, because any music fan knows to turn an ear up when they hear the name “Neville”—NOLA’s prized music family.
