Florence Shepard, Professor Emerita of Educational Studies at the University of Utah, will read from and sign her new memoir, Sometimes Creek: A Wyoming Memoir, the story of Shepard's childhood on a sheep ranch and life as a wife, mother, teacher and environmentalist.

Shepard taught educational, environmental and feminist studies at the U. She has published a book, Ecotone, and her personal narratives have appeared in journals and anthologies. She lives in a cabin in Wyoming's Hoback Basin for much of the year and winters in Salt Lake City.
