The Stampede, a West Jordan tradition since 1954, has partnered again this year with the Flying U Rodeo to bring back their “showdeo” style of entertainment for two nights of PRCA action Wednesday, July 4 and Friday, July 6. Along with the traditional rodeo favorites, the “showdeo” includes acts like the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls, a traveling group of world-class trick riding and roping ladies, chuck wagon races and renowned clown, Hollywood Harris to entertain the crowd.
New this year, the “Un-Rodeo Rodeo,” will hit the arena on Thursday, July 5. This nontraditional rodeo relies on community participation and audience members to try their skills in the arena. Families can participate in mutton bustin’, MX vs. ATV barrel racing, hide races, a coin dig, stick horse barrel racing, and a wild steer milking contest.
On Saturday, July 7, it’s all bull when professional bull riders hit the arena for a night of PBR action.
