Wiseguys is bringing yet another Saturday Night Live alumnus to its West Valley City stage when Jay Mohr performs live this weekend.

Known for supporting roles in films like Jerry Maguire and Go, Mohr’s career has recently seen him more on the small screen with guest spots on Suburgatory and Prime Suspect, among others. He spends a lot of time on Jim Rome’s radio show, as well.
He also starred in short-lived TV series Gary Unmarried and Action, the single-camera laugh-track-less spiritual precursor to Arrested Development. If you don’t remember Action, you’re not alone. It only lasted for eight episodes on Fox way back in the olden days of 1999. It featured comedy legend Buddy Hackett and a lot of bleeped dialogue.
Mohr’s stand-up is in a similar vein, full of acerbic barbs and rapid-fire rants. He’s not a nice man—but that doesn’t mean he’s not funny. (Rob Tennant)
