At this free event, Professor Abbie Griffin will discuss her newest research book, Serial Innovators: How Individuals Create and Deliver Breakthrough Innovations in Mature Firms. Serial Innovators are individuals who conceive ideas that solve important problems for people and organizations, develop those ideas into breakthrough new products and services, invent new technologies as needed, and then guide those products and services through the corporation's commercialization process and into the market. Serial Innovators general millions of dollars in revenue for their corporations and impact millions of lives every day from the workers employ to make the products to the customers who benefit from them. Professor Griffin and her co-authors spent several years research and interviewing over 50 Serial Innovators as well as their co-workers, managers and human resources managers. The book demonstrates who these Serial Innovators are as people, how they innovate, what motivates them and how best to manage them.
