Joe Bonamassa

At age 7, most boys are building forts in the woods and trying to avoid getting “cooties” from their female classmates. Joe Bonamassa was perfecting his Stevie Ray Vaughan licks—what an overachiever! Bonamassa’s solid playing caught B.B. King’s ear, and by age 12, he was touring with King and had opened for the likes of Robert Cray and Gregg Allman. Now only in his 30s, the “future of the blues” will release his 13th solo studio album, Driving Toward the Daylight, May 2012. It’s influenced by early ’60s English and American rock and blues—the stuff that never gets old.
