Tea Leaf Green

The major reason for Tea Leaf Green’s lack of national renown is their indecisiveness. They have tried churning out punchy tunes as a rock & roll band, and, during other stretches, dabbled in the improvisational wankery of your run-of-the-mill touring jam band. Keyboardist Trevor Garrod acknowledged this push/pull in a September 2011 interview with Relix, and said, “Nothing really gelled together until we discovered that we needed to add another person to break free and find the new sound that we’re making.” Step in second drummer Cochrane McMillan to record the 2011 release Radio Tragedy!. Since then, he has helped guide the band back to where Garrod says they’re at their best: uncharted waters. So, essentially, they’ve finally decided to fully own their jam-band-ness. Silent Comedy opens the show.
