UCW-Zero 10-Year Anniversary

The 1980s and ’90s heyday of theatrical professional wrestling may be in the past, replaced by the gritty brutality of ultimate fighting. But Ultra Championship Wrestling survives, and this week celebrates a 10-year anniversary with a serious showcase of battling bodies.

In fact, it’s not easy to decide what actually qualifies as the “main event” of the evening. The UCW-Zero Championship match between Tyler Cintron and Cassidy would seem like the obvious choice, but there’s also a “Career vs. Career” showdown featuring Los Mochis Paco and Blitz, with additional matches featuring Martin Casaus vs. Luke Robinson and Eric Watts vs. A.J. Kirsch. Plus, if you really want to kick into nostalgia for the golden era of pro wrestling, you’ve got a special guest in former WWE tag-team star Marty Jannetty (pictured). Local comedy headliner Marcus also joins the fun, as you remember the fun and spectacle of huge, sweaty men throwing each other around. (Scott Renshaw)
