Commander Cody

Ever since his wild days as the front man for the Lost Planet Airmen, the Old Commander has been a truly unique and iconoclastic figure. His special blend of old-time rock 'n' roll, redneck country, boogie woogie, and swing virtually defined American Roots Music. In the early 1970's, Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen were one of the original groups to fuse divergent strains of American music- rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, western, and swing together for a innovative yet convincing sound. The Airmen laid the groundwork for other rock-innovators such as the Byrds, the Eagles, and Poco. Get an aisle seat if you're a dancer!
