Award-winning author Naomi Benaron will read from and sign her riveting debut novel, Running the Rift. Barbara Kingsolver called it "culturally rich and completely engrossing. This is truly fearless writing: ambitious, beautiful, and unapologetically passionate." The novel has been awarded Kingsolver's 2010 Bellwether Prize for Fiction, presented to a first-time novelist working in the tradition of socially engaged literature. Benaron is a writing instructor at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona and also teaches online through the Afghan Women's Writing Project.
