Located just west of downtown Salt Lake City, this restaurant’s regulars swear by the savory al pastor burrito (a steal at less than $3), but there are 14 different specials to please fickle palates. Open late on weekends. Translated from Spanish, this Rose Park taqueria is name for the “king of gold,” but you won’t need gold to enjoy the food here. In fact, it’s so inexpensive you’ll feel guilty of robbery! Order a beer and let the exceptionally friendly staff help decide between a plethora of taco options or maybe a seafood dish like the cocktail de camaron & pulpo (shrimp and octopus cocktail). The al pastor-stuffed burrito is popular with the regulars and this easy-to-access (from the freeway) taqueria is open late on weekends for hungry late-night customers.
