As anyone who attended the black-tie New Year’s Eve dinner at Acme Burger Company knows, chef Adam Kreisel enjoys flexing his culinary muscles and branching out beyond burgers (anyone remember his Globe By Moonlight?). Well, there’s good news for Kreisel and Acme loyalists: Acme Burger Company is now open for brunch on Sundays, with a special menu in addition to the standard fare (which is anything but standard). Sunday brunch at Acme will be served 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and will feature eclectic dishes like elk chop steak and eggs; bacon and egg frittata; house-cured salmon with potato latkes and crème fraíche; and a Bloody Mary bar to boot. Says Kreisel, “Our brunch items run the gamut from classic to exotic and use only the freshest local ingredients. Market Street’s annual Crab Festival kicked off last week. Through the end of February Market Street Grill & Oyster Bar restaurants will serve five different types of crab in two dozen different ways. The main draw is Dungeness crab from Oregon, harvested by day boats and flown to Salt Lake City within hours of catch. According to Market Street chef Scott Loring, there will also be Alaskan King crab, rock crab, snow crab and lump crab aplenty.
