I believe if Joseph Smith were alive he would agree with today's Mormon leadership. After all, they are still promoting the same fraudulent books, a false gospel and a different Jesus.
A good book for Mormon women to read is "Wife No. 19," by Ann Eliza Young, Brigham Young's 19th wife. She reveals what it was really like for a Mormon woman in the early years of Mormonism.
"Why is the church now focusing on social media?" To build its membership. But
the blessing that comes from Mormonism becoming more emergent is that along with that people who have been held captive to the deception of Mormonism are learning the truth.
As a 4th generation ex-mormon I can say I have nothing against those who call themselves Mormon, but against Mormonism's false gospel. It is known that the papyrus used to translate the Book of Abraham is a funerary text, and in a recent Meridian magazine article (an LDS publication) it is said that Joseph Smith rarely referred to the golden plates when writing the Book of Mormon. This calls the Mormon restored gospel into question. Http://downtownministries.blogspot.com/
