On its face, as far as the subject matter goes, an on-the-run stripper named Pippi wreaking havoc at an upscale trailer park named Armadillo Acres does not necessarily bring great theater to mind. Memorable, maybe. Campy, certainly. Classically great? Probably not.

Still, even with such a setting—and acerbic characters who work at highway toll-booths and who shop solely at low-end, big-box retailers—The Great American Trailer Park Musical will arguably make it as another soon-to-be underground classic straight from the creative minds of Dark Horse Company Theatre, the same troupe that recently brought you theatrical romps The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Reefer Madness. So grow out that mullet, rip the limbs from a favorite T-shirt and an old pair of blue-jeans, grab a cold one, cook up that road kill for a snack and head on up to Park City to enjoy the musings of daily life in a Florida trailer park.

The Great American Trailer Park Musical @ Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main, Park City, 435-649-9371, Sept. 17-Oct. 3, Thursday-Saturday 8 p.m.; Sunday 6 p.m. $18-$25. EgyptianTheatreCompany.org
