A Salt Lake City institution since the ’40s (though not in the original location, where its name was derived from the proximity to movie houses), this cozy Italian restaurant deserves its longevity.

Restaurant Details

The red-and-white-checked tablecloths evoke a simpler time, and the eclectic menu features a host of savory delights, including the hearty oil & vinegar salad, spaghetti, lasagna, housemade corned-beef sandwich, old-fashioned pizza, and rib-eye steak. The unique Kahlua cup is a fine dessert to finish your meal, and live music is featured nightly.
