restaurant owners Mark Eaton and Guy Wadsworth recently commissioned and installed a first-of-its-kind blown-glass chandelier in their restaurant, which “celebrates the beauty of the grapevine and the wine-making process and honors Tuscany’s award-winning wine list.” According to Tom Holdman of Holdman Glass Studios, Our goal was to make the most spectacular art-glass chandelier in the state of Utah. The inspiration was to show an old grapevine at its essence with the soil removed. More Caputo
Customers of Tony Caputo’s Market & Deli will be happy to learn that an eastside Caputo’s location is in the works. A new Caputo’s store will be located at 15th & 15th, across from King’s English bookstore and Mazza restaurant. According to Matt Caputo, the location will be “super heavy on cheese, chocolate, charcuterie, EVOO, vinegars and honey with a little of this and that from our other categories. We will have a small sandwich menu and intend to get our wine and beer license at some point in the future.” Troy Petersen, an employee of Caputo’s for the past decade, will be an investor and partner in the store. “In addition to pushing the envelope of food excellence, [Peterson] also shares our values of sustainability. Like our downtown location, 15th & 15th will be 100 percent wind-powered. Additionally, Troy lives three blocks away and will enjoy walking or biking to work in his own neighborhood.”
