It’s no secret that Canyon Inn (3700 E. Fort Union Blvd.) is a staple wintertime ski bar. With $6 Coors Light pitchers, $2.75 well drinks and some most-excellent pizza, this Cottonwood Heights establishment has always been a regular midseason stop for snow bros. However, now that it’s toasty outside, every Thursday through July 26, Canyon Inn clears out the parking lot to make room for live tunes, barbecue, beer pong and cornhole for a weekly party appropriately dubbed Sunset Sessions. Besides the bands and booze, this outdoor event has a raffle for tons of quality swag, prizes and gift certificates, all in an effort to raise a little cash for the Utah Food Bank. Next week offers up Reggae Sessions with Wasnatch, starting up at 7 p.m. (Photos by Mike Fuchs)
