Lawful Libations: Liquor License News
Nov. 5 ushered in one of the greatest revolutions in Utah cinema-bar history: Brewvies (677 S. 200 West) put into effect its newly acquired liquor license. It’s safe to assume the venue will soon enjoy an increase in its devoted clientele.

MADD Benefit: 5 Monkeys
5 Monkeys (7 E. 4800 South) kicks off a Drunk Driving Awareness benefit (for MADD) Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. Discounted cab rides to and from the venue will be provided courtesy Yellow Cab.

Get Chaotic: Klub Kaos Opens
A new venue is opening Saturday nights in the bottom of Area 51. Kaos owners proclaim it to be an entity separated from Area. Every Saturday night, their two dance floors will open to industrial music fans 18 and a bar area will be accessible. Check out the grand opening bash Nov. 21 which will feature guest DJs from L.A.

Circle Lounge: Innovative Renovations
Circle Lounge is undergoing a transformation. The club’s ongoing renovations are “90 percent complete” according to general manager Masood Jafarnejad—only finishing touches remain. An extra night of killer imported DJs will be playing Friday Hip-Hop nights soon, joining artists DJ Diamond (Nov. 21) and DJ Micro (Nov. 27) as headliners of Circle’s existing House Saturday night. DJ HeavyGrinder from Los Angeles played Nov. 14 to a sweaty, amped-up crowd [see photos below]. Don’t forget the sushi! Jafarnejad suggests coming earlier (around 9 or so) for culinary delights, then staying late for raw dancing.
