Re: “Victim Support, Chaffetz' Vendetta, Assisted Suicide

I cared for my wife as she lost autonomy during her last 18 months. I learned that you can work on 4 hours sleep. The corporate promoters of assisted suicide now sell with feelings of fear of losing autonomy flying in the face of those living every day with loss of autonomy. This is insidious. This is why the secular left disability rights community is leading the resistance. They know these laws do not assure individual choice.
The medical standard of care established by the non transparent OR/WA euthanasia policy is an application of poison for anyone with feelings of concern about losing autonomy. This is documented by the OR/WA state reports. Now they propose 1 day turn around from diagnosis to death by poison in Hawaii.
That is the low bar of standard of care the corporate promoters of euthanasia want to establish for us all. That will put us all (all ages) at risk of exploitation by the medical industrial complex, human trafficking by predatory corporations, covert organ traffickers, predatory heirs and "new best friends" like Oregon's Thomas Middleton killers via the Oregon policy. This public policy is neither reasonable nor prudent rather it is insidious at best.

Re: “Lawmakers Deny Bill Granting End-of-Life Options

We do need to read and digest the language of the Oregon model laws/bills before we expound on our positions.
They are riddled with loopholes that work together to eviscerate the flaunted safeguards.
For example how many times have you nodded your head when the proponents declared that the lethal dose must be self-administered?
Well, read the language of the law/bill and you will find that there is no means provided to insure that marketing point. For example “self-administrate” was mentioned 6 times in the 20 page Colorado HB 16-1054 and yet there was no means provided to confirm that the lethal dose was forced on not.

In fact what is provided in all the bills/laws is that there may be no investigations allowed after the death. This is a red flag to repair our public safety net.

According to their own records in OR and WA a dangerous public policy that is being established is a low bar of "medical standard of care" is poisoning for people that "fear" the loss of autonomy.
We are all at risk of abuse by these poorly composed laws/bills.
PS: What other activities in the US prohibit investigations?
