In what's going to be a
very dry month for releases, we have one tonight from some old
friends of ours. Over at The Woodshed we'll see the release from Puddle Mountain Ramblers. The five-piece bluegrass favorites who are
always good for a near sell-out crowd have been working their way
around the bars and outdoor festivals for a few years now, and
finally have a debut album on the table. Grandma's Shotgun Stance is about as spirited and foot pounding you'll see around our parts without the taint of poor musicianship. These guys focused hard on their craft and put together a pretty decent turnout. And while the album is a mighty fine display of their skills, it doesn't beat a live show when they start tearing up the stage and getting the audience involved. Do yourself a favor and head over tonight, $10 at 9PM, admission gets you a copy of the album.
