The McGrew Gallery is hosting a show through May 6 called Phoenix Rising!: The Intrinsic Genius of Timm Paxton, and it marks Paxton's return to the world of art after an accident two years and 15 surgeries ago nearly cost him his life.
The Mondo Fine Art: Spring Group Show brings together new works by the likes of Aaron Bushnell, Angie Renfro, Carlisle, John Bell, Lane Bennion, Olivia Pendergast, Pilar Pobil, Roland Thompson and Zachary Proctor.
Park City's Kimball Arts Center is currently showing some fine student work via the Wasatch Back Student Art Show: (Re)Art. The show includes more than 200 pieces from kids in K-12 in Summit and Wasatch Counties.
Another student show is being thrown by Local Colors of Utah. The First Annual High School Art Show celebrates 2-D and 3-D works, as well as jewelry, created by Utah students.
Down at the Springville Museum of Art, one of the state's gems, the Spring Salon (pictured) is on, and running through June 3. The annual display of the best the state has to offer is always worth a trip to Utah County. How many things can you say that about?
