"My favorite show of the year was without a doubt Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings from the Twilight Concert Series. Virtually anyone that has seen her perform agrees: She's an undeniably infectious missionary of soul music."
I've been digging Utah's own The Lower Lights' A Hymn Revival in place of the insipid holiday
standards cliches that I can hardly stomach. It gets me in the holiday mood. Especially good for me is the stand-out track "Count Your Blessings," an upbeat, feel-good song with a message that I need to hear often. The whole album is preachy by nature, but fun and beautiful throughout.
