Friday kicks off the ski and snowboard season, so why not bank a little karma for the slopes by bringing canned nonperishable food items up to the resort and contributing to a holiday food drive put on by Canyons Resort and the Christian Center of Park City?
The season of need comes sooner and sooner, and this year the Canyons Resort and the Christian Center of Park City are seeking to collect 9,900 pounds of food items. The Christian Center, an interdenominational community support center that services hungry clients in Park City as well as Summit and Wasatch Counties, says the need is especially urgent this year and they’re calling on all to donate if they can.
Needed food items include canned soup, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, white rice, dried beans and cooking oil. The center is also trying to help struggling families by collecting baby items such as diapers, wipes, baby formula and baby food.
