The special liquor policy advisory committee made up of independent businesses and tasked by state Democratic leadership is holding its second meeting Tuesday. They're looking for input from average citizens on how the state can fairly and efficiently regulate the vice of drink in Utah, and are calling on drinkers and non-drinkers alike to participate.---
Tasked by Sen. Ross Romero, D-Salt Lake City, and Rep. David Litvack, D-Salt Lake City, the DABC Review Committee is a special forum chaired by local businesses who are seeking public input on how to modernize Utah’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The diverse board, which includes Pago restaurant owner Scott Evans, former Salt Lake County Auditor Jeff Hatch, and Moab Brewery-founder Dave Sabey, is looking for a wide range of comments from the public so they can advise the Legislature on how to best fix Utah’s broken DABC.
Check it out, Tuesday, Jan. 10., 2-4 p.m., at the Salt Lake City Library, 210 E. 400 South.
