Advocates will rally tomorrow to protest moves by Utah Senators Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee that would slash critical funding for seniors and persons with disabilities.
Community advocates are going on the war path trying to rally public support and awareness to stop Utah senators’ plans to cut Medicaid and Medicare funding. Citing that one in three American rely on Medicaid and Medicare to afford basic healthcare, Lane Gardinier of the Anti-Hunger Action Committee in a press release stated: "When our elected officials are talking about ideas this bad we all have a responsibility to educate our neighbors."
