TV Tonight: Go On, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

Go On (NBC) Sneak Preview: After the ‘Lympics, it’s a sneak preview of the new fall comedy Go On, starring Matthew Perry as a sports-talk-radio host who loses his wife and goes to therapy. To remind you that it’s a comedy, Perry over-acts and desperately tries to Be! Funny! Despite what more than a few TV critics think they saw, it’s depressing as fuck and not even half as funny as Mr. Sunshine—which was no great shakes, either. So why the sneak peek? Apparently, NBC wants as many viewers as possible to get used to not laughing early.
