who gives a rip? how many other clubs that have gone out of business have you dedicated a weekly memorial to? maybe you should be focusing on businesses that are successful in spite of the economy.

Posted // October 19,2010 at 12:55 - I blame his boss, Mr. Saltas, for starting this addiction with the weekly Parking Lot Where A Hotel Used To Be back when John was going to drive old man Holding crazy with his dead parking lot updates. But, I agree, joe, this has gotten to be a monumental waste of editorial and photo space that could be used for something constructive and positive for the community. Maybe CW could have a contest for readers to come up with a replacement for these dead-headed updates. And, really, Bill, why is it you only care about the Goat, the Zephyr, etc.? Those places were on their last legs or under new management that destroyed the old charm long before they closed. The time to do a post-mortem on the Goat was when Darger took it over completely and turned it into a strip joint. Where was your outrage then?
