Tracy Aviary: On Saturday, April 20, 12 – 3 p.m. the aviary hosts a “Party for the Earth” in conjunction with its 75th anniversary. Events include hands-on activities, close-up bird encounters and giveaways, including a free planter to the first 75 paid admissions after 12 p.m. All activities are weather-permitting; admission is $7 adults, $5 children 3-12, free for 2 and under.
Ogden Nature Center: Exhibitors, entertainment, food, crafts and other activities are part of an Earth Day Celebration this Saturday, April 20, 12 – 4 p.m. Learn about the activities of local beekeepers, urban gardeners, wool spinners and more. Admission $2 per person, with proceeds benefitting the mission of the facility.
Discovery Gateway: On Monday, April 22, 12 – 4 p.m. at the Imagination Station, visit for family-friendly activities focusing on environmental sustainability, including recycling workshops and seed planting. General Admission is $8.50.
Living Planet Aquarium: The Sandy aquarium is highlighting several days of themed events, including tree-planting and clean-up at the Jordan River Migratory Bird Reserve on Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. At the aquarium itself, visit April 20 – 22 during regular hours for special activities and giveaways.
Hogle Zoo: On Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., the zoo hosts a “Party for the Planet” featuring a variety of animal enrichment showcases and information booths. Receive a $1 discount off any regular admission ($9.75 adults/$7.75 children 3-12) by bringing a used cell phone to recycle.
Red Butte Garden: The garden turns its attention to Arbor Day on Friday, April 26, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for a full day of family activities, exploration stations and an opportunity to take your own small tree home for planting. Admission is free on that date through the Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) program.
