TWILIGHT at twilight

As anticipation for Eclipse builds to explosive levels, there's an opportunity for a bit of safe pre-release release. And outdoors, no less.

Moviefone and Summit Entertainment, distributor of the Twilight Saga films, are stoking fans for the June 30 release of Eclipse by offering a special under-the-stars double-feature of the first two films -- Twilight and New Moon -- in 12 cities on Saturday, June 26. Salt Lake City gets to be one of the lucky 12, with Fairmont Park (2361 S. 900 East) hosting the events. "Gates" open at 6 p.m., and admission is free, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Event organizers also promise, according to the press release, "special cast member appearances as well as engaging activities to be enjoyed prior to the outdoor evening film screenings, including a red carpet and photo booth."
