Sundance 2010: Locals Best Bets for Sunday

Now that we’ve got a few Sundance screenings under our own belts, it’s time to help those attending Salt Lake City screenings—particularly you Quick Pass holders wondering which screenings to pick—to plan theirs.

For Jan. 24, two impressive documentaries should be high on your list. Catfish (6:45 p.m., Broadway Cinema V) serves up a fascinating, multi-layered study of the perils and pleasures of living virtually. Later, The Tillman Story (Rose Wagner, 9:30 p.m.) provides the thoroughly human portrait of Pat Tillman—the NFL star-turned soldier whose friendly-fire death was covered up by the military—that gives his life real meaning.

Watch this space daily throughout the festival for more recommendations for locals.
