Everybody's hurting ITCEC (your handy acronym for "in the current economic climate"). But the struggle of arts organizations to fill seats will have a trickle-down effect on potential patrons who may want to put a couple of tickets in someone's stocking.

From Dec. 4 - 23, the Utah Symphony is putting terrific floor-level seats on sale for several 2010 performances -- just $20 a pop for tickets that might cost you twice that ordinarily. Performances for which the special offer applies include Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 (Jan. 8-9); the return of conductor Keith Lockhart (pictured, Feb. 19-20); Mozart Violin Concerto No. 4 (March 5-6); and Verdi's "Requiem" (April 9-10). Grab 'em while you can, and show those special folks on your holiday gift list how much class ya got.
