Action on the DVD release front during Labor Day week is about the same as action on the theatrical release front during Labor Day week: "dead" would be an understatement.
Of course, "dead" is just a temporary state for Chev Chelios, Jason Statham's nigh-indestructible anti-hero in Crank 2: High Voltage. I'm not entirely confident giving this one a "race out and rent" recommendation, because I missed it as well during its theatrical run. But based on the comments of other critics I respect, I can tell you that this is one that I plan to race out and rent. It begins, after all, with Chev being shoveled off the pavement after falling to his "death." I can think of no way that this will not be awesome.
