Because it's nearly impossible to find a legitimate photographer to take pictures of Train groupies (or Train for that matter), the next best thing is to hire a few schlubs to hold camera-like-objects and pretend to be paparazzi.---

A recent post on Salt Lake City's Craigslist by an undisclosed event production company is searching for applicants to play the role of  "fake paparazzi" for a "red carpet event" in City Creek mall on Saturday, April 13.

Now, the only red carpet event happening in City Creek this Saturday is the opening of the new Microsoft Store with a special performance by anybody-need-a-song-for a-commercial band, Train.

If you have zero photography skills, that's OK. The event production company doesn't want to preserve any memories with real photographs, they just want someone that can act like they know what they are doing. The company is simply looking for a "Professional camera with a working flash NO actual pictures need to be taken. Only there to pretend to be 'paparazzi' taking pictures of guests entering the event on the red carpet. Applicants must be outgoing and ready to act as they will be acting as a paparazzi' yelling and shouting at guests to look and pose for the camera."

However, it takes more than acting like a photographer to get this exclusive gig (that pays $20 an hour), you have to also "send a short paragraph with application about why you think you would be the best candidate for this job and include your top 3 celebrities you would follow if you were really a celebrity!" Example: If I was Tom Hanks I would follow Train.

Just in case the Craigslist post gets taken down, here's a screen grab. Click on the post below to enlarge:
