Wine Wednesday: Clicquot in the Snow

This Sunday, March 24, French bubbly will be flowing in the mountains. The event is called Clicquot in the Snow and it's what promises to be a really fun afternoon of apres ski, sipping Veuve Clicquot at Canyons Resort.

From 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the corks from bottles of Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne from France will be popping at Canyons' The Farm restaurant, accompanied by passed appetizers prepared by The Farm's award-winning culinary team. That's right: bubbly adjacent to the Canyons Resort Bubble Express lift! Veuve Clicquot is a full-bodied, classic Champagne that will pair beautifully with The Farm's creative cuisine.

Tickets for Clicquot in the Snow are $30 per person (21 and over), plus tax and gratuity, for two glasses of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and passed appetizers. Or, if you're not imbibing, a $15 ticket, plus tax and gratuity, will buy you The Farm's passed appetizers.

And, if appetizers aren't enough, I highly recommend sticking around for dinner at The Farm or at its sister restaurant, Talisker on Main, in Old Town. I had dinner at Talisker on Main just the other night and it was nothing less than stunning. The Talisker culinary crew really is firing on all cylinders right now.
