See 'The New Normal' Pilot - Which Sucks

Posted // 2012-08-29 - Watch the entire pilot episode that prompted Utah NBC "affiliate" KSL 5 to opt out of showing The New Normal next month, right here and now! By the way: It kind of sucks.

As you'll read in True TV's comprehensive Fall TV Preview next week, The New Normal (about a gay couple trying to adopt a baby) is sweet and well-intentioned, but also surprisingly flat for a production from the man who shoved Glee and American Horror Story in your face (Ryan Murphy). As a comedy, it ain't all that funny; as a drama, the writing just isn't there. But hey, keep on protesting -- KSL deserves all the shit you can throw at them.

Just watched the episode which I did not think sucked. Wasn't spectacular but has potential. Yes, the writing needs to be polished up a bit. NeNe Leakes is almost the same as she was on Glee: fabulous. I think this could be one to look forward to with a little tuning up.

PS: really dug the cameo by Julie Goldman :)
