Park City Cycling Festival This Weekend

by Kathleen Curry & Geoff Griffin
- Posted // 2013-06-25 - Grab your bike and head up the mountain, June 28-30, for the 2nd annual Park City Cycling Festival at Park City Mountain Resort. Whether you're just off training wheels or you've been riding for years, there's something for bike riders of all skill levels, or even those who have never tried riding one before. All proceeds benefit KPCW, Park City's local public radio station.

Park City is known for its more than 400 miles of mountain-biking terrain, but that's only a slice of the cycling festival.  The festival features special programs and professionally led rides for road and mountain cyclists, as well as free events, like round table discussions, road clinics, exhibitions from bike companies, safety demonstrations, food vendors, live music and kids' activities. Park City Mountain Resort's summer activities, like the Alpine Slide, chairlift, and ziplines, will be operating during the festival, as well.

Check out the Festival's Facebook page, or the hashtag #pccyclingfest on Twitter and Instagram.

The Travel Tramps write about their treks near and far in City Weekly and host the Travel Brigade Radio Show. Follow them on Twitter @TravelBrigade.
