Meet Harry Potter, James Bond, along Wales Coast Path

by Kathleen Curry & Geoff Griffin
- Posted // 2013-05-12 - Fancy a walk? Llwybr Arfordir Cymru, or, in English, the Wales Coast Path, is one of the most scenic trails in the world, spanning 870 miles of Wales's coastline. Aside from its stunning views, the Coast Path has also been used in plenty of movie -- Die Another Day, Clash of the Titans, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Robin Hood and Snow White and the Huntsman are just a few.

The Wales Coast Path's website has information on movies that have been filmed there, as well as where to go if you want to walk where the stars did.

Even if you have no interest in recreating a scene from your favorite movie, the Wales Coast Path still has plenty to offer. Wildlife Trust Reserves dot the trails, as well as castles, Roman forts and more. Walking plans are customizable for seeing what you want to see, whether it's wildlife, the best beaches or the most charming towns to stop in along the way. You can also take a short, half-day walk or plan something longer.

The Travel Tramps write about their treks near and far in City Weekly and host The Travel Brigade Show, a weekly radio podcast. Follow them on Twitter @TravelBrigade.
