In this week’s issue of City Weekly, we had this article about famous places to visit on New Year’s Eve. However, NYE doesn’t always have to be about bright lights and big cities. We’re going the opposite way to ring in 2013 on a ship in the middle of nowhere in the Caribbean Sea. --- We plan to enjoy a midnight toast while looking out on the endless ocean. It will definitely be more low-key than Times Square or the Las Vegas Strip, but the New Year is a time for trying new things.

No matter where in the world you find yourself, it’s a time of celebration of the past and hope for the future. Wherever you you might be at midnight, have a great New Year and many happy travels in 2013.

The Travel Tramps blog about their treks near and far in City Weekly and host the weekly Travel Brigade Radio Show.
